News From The Front Line

boingboing draws my attention to this story on flickr about this man being stopped by the police in London under the Terrorism Act 2000, apparently on the basis that he was wearing a suspicious beard.
Here he is holding the ticket/receipt that the polis gave him in relation to the stop - you can view it large-size on the flickr site and see that it specifically mentions the ‘big brown beard’ as a significant feature.
What do you think readers?
Obvious terrorist or bearded buffoon?
Remember what Groucho Marx said -
“Don’t point that beard at me, it might go off”
